Leslie Lee & Steve Gretz to return Jan. 31
MGCCA is excited to welcome Leslie Lee and Steve Gretz back to the concert series. After having entertained a delighted audience here two years ago, the duo will return for a coffeehouse-style concert Sun., Jan. 31, at 7 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of First United Methodist Church, Mount Gilead.
In 2007, Leslie and Steve moved to Rochester, N.Y. from the Boston area, where together they ran The Mozaic Room coffeehouse for eleven years. In 2003, they started recording and performing together as a duo.
Their music combines their backgrounds in traditional, country, Americana, and gospel music with their taste for contemporary singer/songwriters.
"We sing these songs because they move us, and we hope they will lift your spirits and soothe your souls," says the pair.
Their performances feature simple but tasteful arrangements of timeless melodies. Steve's guitar is often supplemented by other traditional instruments, but the focus is always on thoughtful lyrics and beautiful harmonies.
Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students. Visit our Tickets page to reserve a seat, or pay at the door.
As always, it is our goal to bring the arts and the audience together, and complimentary tickets are available for those who cannot afford them. Use the Contact Us link for more information.
