Community Choir presents 20th Christmas concert
Mount Gilead Community Choir presented its 20th annual Christmas concert Sun., Dec. 7, at First Presbyterian Church. The program featured eight selections for choir, with solo numbers by Leila Evans, Trey Lincoln, Sandra Miller, Patricia Story and Nancy Tedder and a duet by Evans and Lincoln.
Included on the program was "Lamb of God", composed by Sophia Pavlenko of Troy. Her husband, Dr. Paul Chandley of Trinity Music Academy, accompanied Trey Lincoln on the tenor solo.
As has become the tradition, audience members brought many items to be contributed to the Mount Gilead Food Pantry.
Mount Gilead Community Choir is open to area singers without audition. More information is available through the "Contact Us" link on this page.
The choir's concert was made possible in part through a generous legacy gift from Mount Gilead Savings & Loan Association.
